What was introduced today that was new to you?
Much of what was introduced was new to me. I am particularly impressed with finding out all the features offered on Google. I think that we will be able to use many of the features to improve our in-house communications. The document sharing and ability to edit will be very useful for our professional learning communities. The videos that were shown will be great motivators for a staff meeting and should allow us to kick off some interesting conversations……especially once we are finished with ISAT testing this spring! What a great way to have teachers turn a bunch of test tired kids onto some really great learning! I just hope that my staff is tech savvy enough to go out and try some of these things.
What applications am I going to try within the next two months?
I intend to go home tonight and introduce Google Earth to both the computers at our house! I think that my significant other will be very intrigued. Because of the limitations imposed by our MIS department, I will have to work within the constraints that we have in the building until some changes can be made. Fortunately, I have just been put on the tech committee and we have a meeting on the 23rd. I will be using Teacher Tube and YouTube since I can put things on a flashdrive and still work with them. I am also excited to try Audacity and Mashup to see what I can create in those.
What would I like to know more about?
This is too big too answer today. I will need to work with these things for awhile, and I am certain that I will have many questions then.

I would like to use Google Documents as a tool with my coaches on staff to help revise our extracurricular handbook. I think this would be a great tool to use. It would also maybe save time.
I would also like to implement the Google Page Creator. This would be a helpful tool to get out information on schedules, bus times, gym availability, and other issues that I deal with in athletics. Also could be used to post information about Transportation problems or route changes in the School District.
